Pay or shift range: $18.21 USD to $35.32 USD The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

Description

The Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide professional nursing or medical assistant care under supervision or scope of licensure for clinic patients.

• Room patients, perform and document vital signs and patient backgrounds.
• Coordinate provider schedules and appointment, enter orders and prepare patient charts.
• Instruct patients and families as directed within scope of licensure or certification.
• Prepare patients and assist medical providers with in-office procedures and prepare and administer medications/immunizations.
• Maintain exam rooms and equipment to be within infection control standards.
• Ensure appropriate levels of medical supplies for each patient room.

Qualifications: BLS Certification Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers from approved program. (Can be obtained on the job).

Medical Assistant: Certified as a Medical Assistant, or Registered Medical Assistant through an approved accreditor preferred, however can train on the job.

Licensed Practical Nurse: Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing. Valid Practical Nursing license in the state of WI through an approved accreditor.

Shift: Working 40 hours a week in the Internal Medicine Department.

Education

Required: High School or better.

Preferred: Associates or better in Nursing or related field. General Education Diploma or better.

Licenses & Certifications

Preferred: Practical Nurse, Cert As A Medical Assist, Cert Basic Life Support
