Contract | Travel | 12-Week Assignment | Midshift: 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department managing diverse and complex patient populations including trauma, stroke, sepsis, DKA, and patients with complicated cardiac conditions
• Perform and assist with procedures including laceration repair, orthopedic trauma care, ultrasound-guided IV insertion, IO insertion, EKG, eye exams, and cardiopulmonary and psychiatric care
• Operate department equipment including ultrasound for IV access, Lucas Device, Hotline Rapid Infuser, Alaris pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Utilize EMR system (Sunrise/Allscripts) to document patient care accurately and efficiently
• Follow protocol-based written orders to initiate complete patient workups including labs, EKG, x-rays, and medications based on chief complaint
• Maintain a patient ratio of 4:1 with flexibility during acute surge periods, including rotation of every other weekend

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license required at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience in a hospital setting
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
• Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Demonstrated dependability, punctuality, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• MOAB certification in addition to required certifications
• Strong proficiency in EKG interpretation
• Experience caring for psychiatric patients in a secure or locked-unit setting
