Position Summary New York City Health + Hospitals | Queens, in affiliation with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, invites applications for a full‑time Attending Faculty Gastroenterologist to join our growing, mission‑driven division in the heart of Queens. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive gastroenterology care across inpatient and outpatient settings, using a modern endoscopy suite and the latest technology. Collaborate with The Cancer Center of Excellence at NYC H+H | Queens on multidisciplinary oncologic care, quality initiatives, and program development. Act as core faculty in the ACGME‑accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program, mentoring residents and medical students from NYIT COM, St. George’s University, and CUNY School of Medicine. Supervise and teach Gastroenterology Fellows from The Brooklyn Hospital Center, providing hands‑on procedural instruction. Develop a niche clinical focus, participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and system‑based innovation, and engage in scholarly activity or research. Clinical & Academic Expectations Commit to high‑quality, patient‑centered care in a community‑based setting. Demonstrate proficiency in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy (EGD, colonoscopy; additional procedural skills a plus). Show interest in teaching medical students and/or residents through university affiliation. Participate in quality improvement, peer review, and patient safety initiatives. Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care team. Maintain strong communication and organizational skills. Show interest in scholarly activity, community outreach, or clinical research (preferred but not required). Qualifications MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school. Completion of an ACGME‑accredited Internal Medicine residency. Completion of an ACGME‑accredited Gastroenterology fellowship. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology (ABIM). Eligible for or in possession of an unrestricted New York State medical license. Current DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date). Eligible for hospital medical staff appointment and credentialing. Compensation Compensation range: \$361 000 to \$371 000 (not including bonuses/incentive compensation or benefits).
