Endoscopy Technician (Endo Tech) - Contract Assignment Location: Palm Beach Gardens, Florida 33418
Duration: 10 Weeks
Shift: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

On-Call Requirement:
- Weekday Call: 5:30 PM - 7:00 AM (Monday-Friday)
- Weekend Call: 24-hour coverage (shared/rotating schedule)
Candidate Requirement: Must reside at least 100 miles away from facility
- Assist physicians and Registered Nurses during endoscopic procedures as directed
- Prepare procedure rooms and ensure availability of required instruments and supplies
- Verify proper operation of endoscopic equipment and perform routine safety checks
- Clean, disinfect, maintain, and troubleshoot endoscopic instruments and related equipment
- Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection prevention protocols
- Collect, label, and transport specimens obtained during procedures according to facility policy
- Monitor equipment functionality and report malfunctions promptly
- Support patient positioning and procedural workflow to ensure efficiency and safety
- Participate in rotating on-call schedule including evenings, nights, and weekends
- Minimum 2 years of Endoscopy Technician experience in an acute care hospital setting
- SGNA Certification - Required
- Active Certification/License (as applicable per facility/state requirements)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - Required
- Strong knowledge of endoscopic equipment handling, sterilization, and infection control practices
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced procedural environments
- Strong attention to detail and patient safety standards
- Experience supporting a variety of GI endoscopic procedures
- Acute Care Hospital Setting
- Procedural/Endoscopy Suite
- Requires participation in scheduled on-call rotation
