Shipping & Receiving Clerk (Houston, TX)

Compensation: Up to $21 an hour

About the Opportunity

[Confidential] is seeking a motivated Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse operations team in Houston, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates and entry-level professionals looking to build a long-term career in warehouse and supply chain operations.

We provide hands-on training, including forklift operation, 6S workplace organization practices, ERP systems, and warehouse processes. We're looking for dependable candidates with strong work ethic, basic computer skills, and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform rotational warehouse duties including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping
• Receive and inspect incoming materials from suppliers and internal transfers
• Store inventory in designated warehouse locations
• Pick, pack, and prepare products for shipment
• Generate shipping documentation and invoices
• Assist with inventory control, cycle counts, and stock reconciliation
• Operate forklifts safely within the warehouse and yard environment
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area
• Participate in 6S and continuous improvement initiatives
• Follow all safety, quality, and environmental procedures

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 0-2 years warehouse, shipping, receiving, or inventory experience (retail experience a plus)
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Good organizational and time-management abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Commitment to workplace safety

Preferred

• Forklift experience or certification
• Warehouse, shipping, receiving, or inventory experience
• Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems
• Dangerous Goods by Air or Sea training
