We are looking for a Controller to lead the full accounting function and establish strong financial discipline in a growing organization. This position requires a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who can oversee core accounting operations, maintain accurate records, and strengthen processes across finance, compliance, and administrative support areas. The role also contributes to budgeting, forecasting, and operational improvement by identifying better ways to scale back-office activities through effective tools and structured workflows.
Responsibilities:
• Direct the complete accounting cycle, ensuring financial records remain accurate, current, and properly supported across internal systems, bank activity, and external platforms.
• Manage the month-end close process from start to finish, including reconciliations, review of balances, and resolution of discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Oversee accounts payable activities to confirm invoices are processed correctly and payments are issued according to established deadlines.
• Maintain reliable books for multiple locations by enforcing consistent accounting practices and monitoring compliance with internal standards.
• Prepare and submit required reporting to banking partners and franchise-related entities in accordance with deadlines and reporting expectations.
• Investigate financial issues thoroughly, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions so outstanding items are fully addressed.
• Support financial planning efforts by contributing to annual budgets, periodic forecasts, and variance analysis for leadership review.
• Evaluate current processes and technology tools, recommending improvements that increase efficiency and help the back-office function scale effectively.

• 7+ years of progressive accounting or controllership experience, preferably in a hands-on, high-accountability environment.
• Strong expertise in account reconciliation, month-end close, and maintaining accurate general ledger records.
• Demonstrated ability to oversee payables, reporting compliance, and multi-entity or multi-location accounting activities.
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial variance reporting for management decision-making.
• Ability to create structure, improve processes, and uphold standards within a growing organization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of resolving financial discrepancies thoroughly.
• Proficiency with accounting systems and financial tools, with the ability to identify and implement process-enhancing technology.
