Responsibilities Perform a variety of diagnostic medical sonography procedures, providing high quality exams for interpretation by a Radiologist. Set up and assist in invasive procedures when ultrasound is used as a guidance tool. Cooperate with all associates in proper conduct of the department. Perform other related duties as required by the Radiology Director. Follow the Standard of Behavior guidelines and prescribed hospital safety standards. Maintain ethical, professional relationships and incorporate patient, physician, customer needs and concerns into decision‑making. Position and transfer patients for exams. Assist physicians in performing invasive procedures, checking necessary lab work pre‑exam and delivering specimens with proper paperwork. Practice sterile technique to prevent any contamination. Maintain adequate records per department and hospital policies. Apply AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank) at all times. Attend a minimum of 50% of scheduled department meetings and obtain information from missed meetings. Operate Cerner System proficiently, troubleshoot problems with orders and make corrections within scope of user level. Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of the Ultrasound Department. Produce quality diagnostic ultrasound images using proper equipment technique and technical factors. Secure and restock supplies as necessary. Perform all ultrasound procedures according to department policies. For Ultrasound Technologist III: achieve a minimum of four registries. Qualifications Associate's Degree or Graduate of a Technical School. Preferred 1 to 2 Years of Position‑Related Experience. Basic Cardiac Life Support certification. Registered as Vascular Technologist (RVT). Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer – Abdominal or OB/GYN (RDMS).
