About the Position

We are seeking an experienced  Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Utica, NY. The ideal candidate will have recent Emergency Department experience, including pediatric patient care, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide emergency nursing care to patients of all ages, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
• Perform rapid patient assessments, triage, and emergency interventions.
• Care for patients with stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction (MI), cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, and other emergency conditions.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and emergency treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR.
• Operate specialty equipment, including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun devices.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and evidence-based emergency nursing practices.

Requirements

• Active New York RN License
• Minimum 2+ years of recent Emergency Department experience
• Pediatric ED experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Charge Nurse experience highly preferred
• Epic EMR experience required

Required Current Certifications:

• BLS - AHA
• ACLS - AHA
• PALS - AHA
• NIHSS
• TNCC
