Registered Nurse – PICU

Location: Cleveland, OH
Contract: 13 Weeks
Pay Rate: $65–$72/hr
Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Shift: 3×12 Hours

• Day: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM

• Night: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM

• Day/Night rotation as required

• Traveler stipend provided

• Traveler must work at least every other holiday

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN License or Compact RN License in hand

• Minimum 12 months permanent PICU experience

• Recent PICU experience required

• Experience caring for pediatric patients, including patients up to 25 years old

• BLS, ACLS & PALS required

• NIHSS preferred

• EKG/ECG rhythm recognition experience

• Inotrope management experience

• Epilepsy monitoring/neurological care experience

• Strong pediatric critical-care skills

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized critical-care nursing to PICU patients.

• Assess and monitor critically ill pediatric patients.

• Monitor cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and hemodynamic status.

• Perform EKGs and recognize abnormal cardiac rhythms.

• Administer and monitor inotropic medications.

• Provide care for patients with epilepsy and neurological conditions.

• Administer medications and treatments according to protocols.

• Respond to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions.

• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.

• Follow infection-control, safety, and critical-care protocols.

• Participate in emergency and resuscitation situations.
