This position requires nurses who are clinically confident, dependable, adaptable, and comfortable responding to changing patient needs.You will work under the guidance of the facility's Medical Director and as part of a healthcare team focused on providing safe, quality patient care.ResponsibilitiesAdminister medications, immunizations, and treatmentsMonitor patients for unusual symptoms, reactions, and changes in conditionMonitor vital signs, weight, diet, and feedingsRecognize signs and symptoms of illness and provide appropriate nursing careUse nursing judgment to address patient needs and initiate acute care plans when appropriateProvide nursing care according to the nursing process and applicable Texas nursing standardsComplete accurate and timely clinical documentationPerform computer data entry and maintain required patient recordsComplete reports and documentation according to facility requirementsFollow facility policies, procedures, and applicable healthcare standardsMaintain compliance with required nursing, safety, and patient care standardsRequirementsCurrent LVN license and registration in good standing with the Texas Board of Nursing, or a license from a state participating in the Nurse Licensure CompactMinimum 2 years of nursing experienceMust be at least 18 years oldMust be eligible to provide services to individuals receiving Medicare and MedicaidMust successfully pass required drug screeningMust successfully pass criminal history, fingerprint, and registry clearance checksMust meet applicable HHSC immunization requirementsMust complete required facility and HHSC training, including CPRMust meet all additional facility requirements
