Job Summary

Assemble and test hydraulic cylinders in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires mechanical aptitude, blueprint reading, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble hydraulic cylinders according to blueprints and work instructions.
• Test finished products to ensure quality and performance standards are met.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
• Complete work orders, labor records, and required documentation accurately.
• Maintain productivity, quality, and safety standards.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and inspections.
• Operate forklifts and hoists as needed.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Assist with training employees and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills

• 1-3 years of manufacturing or assembly experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools.
• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Basic math and tape measure skills.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented production environment.
• Commitment to workplace safety.

Preferred Qualifications

• Manufacturing, construction, or general labor experience.
• Hydraulic or mechanical assembly experience.
• Forklift experience or certification.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.

Schedule & Environment

• Monday-Thursday, 5:00 AM-3:30 PM, with overtime on Fridays as needed.
• Manufacturing environment using tools, measuring equipment, forklifts, and hoists.
• PPE required, including safety glasses and hearing protection.
• Exposure to industrial chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines.

This is a Contract position based out of Hampton, IA.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
