A contract position is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to work with a dynamic FASE (Life Skills) classroom setting. This role begins as soon as possible and continues through December 18th, providing an engaging experience within an elementary school near Garland, TX.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Certification is required
• Hold one of the following endorsements: Self Contained, Core Subjects, or Generalist (endorsement must match grade level for this position)
• Recent classroom or comparable experience working with students who have diverse learning needs
• Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and specialized instruction
• Skills in classroom management, team collaboration, and differentiated instruction
• Committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment
• Must be available to work onsite for the duration of the contract

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to a caseload of students in a Life Skills (FASE) classroom
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs to support each student’s learning and development
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Adapt curriculum and instructional techniques to meet the unique needs of each student
• Maintain accurate records to track student progress and comply with required documentation
• Participate in relevant meetings and ongoing professional development
