What You'll Do

• Assist with grossing benign and cancerous tissue specimens, including colon cancer resections and native livers
• Work with specimens from hospital OR, focusing primarily on benign lesions (95%) and some procurement for research
• Select tissue from POCs for karyotyping and biopsy grossing based on staffing demands
• Collaborate with pathology staff to ensure accurate specimen processing and documentation
• Support research activities by providing procurement assistance as needed
• Maintain compliance with laboratory safety and quality standards
• Participate in team efforts to streamline workflow and improve specimen handling

What You Need

• Valid PA (ASCP) certification
• Minimum 1 year experience in a pathology laboratory environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Flexibility to adjust to workload variations
