Cardiology - Interventional Physician

We are seeking Interventional Cardiologists for ongoing locum opportunities at two hospital locations in Missouri and Illinois. These assignments offer weekday schedules, light call, travel coverage, and a mix of inpatient consults and interventional procedures.

Assignment Details

• Start: As soon as credentialed
• Initial 3-month assignment
• Ongoing coverage available
• Two locations available

Schedule

• Monday Friday
• 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
• One night of call per week (negotiable)
• One weekend of call per month (negotiable)

Practice Setting

• Hospital-based Interventional Cardiology
• Adult & geriatric patient population
• Epic & Meditech EMR

Clinical Responsibilities

• Hospital rounding
• Emergency Department consults
• Cardiac catheterizations
• Coronary interventions
• STEMI coverage
• Temporary pacemaker placement
• Transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
• EKG interpretation
• Echocardiogram interpretation

Patient Volume

• Approximately 15 patients per day
• Up to 25 patients on weekends

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology
• Active Missouri and Illinois licenses (or IMLC eligible)
• DEA
• BLS & ACLS
• Minimum 1 year of experience

Required Case Logs

• 25 Stress Echocardiograms (last 12 months)
• 25 Exercise Stress Tests (last 12 months)
• 20 TEEs (last 24 months)
• Nuclear Stress Study requirements consistent with credentialing standards

Travel

• Travel and lodging provided

Credentialing

• Approximately 90 days
• Name clear required prior to submission
