Our fundamental operating principle is to strive for each supported individual's fulfillment of physical wellbeing, self-expression, and experiences of joy.A Typical Day in the Life of a Direct Support Professional (DSP)A typical day as a DSP provides an opportunity to serve our supported individuals, assist your fellow staff members and might include the following:Supervise, assist, and instruct supported individuals in activities designed to enhance their independence to include community and social activities.Assist LEAP's supported individuals to care for their homes and personal possessions. When needed/directed, perform housekeeping tasks for resident's who fail to do so. Report any unsafe conditions.General housekeeping, snow removal, vehicle upkeep and meal preparation.Paperwork/reporting/attending meetings, participating in training and other tasks as assigned.Who You Are:Because of regulatory requirements you are at least 18 years of age and have a high school degree or GED.
