Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 20-bed Critical Care unit with a 1:2 patient ratio on night shift
- Perform ventilator management, ICP monitoring, and hemodynamic monitoring for critically ill patients
- Float to the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) as needed based on staffing and patient census
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using electronic health record systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and execute individualized patient care plans
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of current Critical Care (ICU) nursing experience required
- Active Massachusetts RN license required
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification required
- Active American Heart Association ACLS certification required
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Willingness to float to PCU as needed is a firm requirement
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Meditech Expanse electronic health record system strongly preferred
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
