MEMBER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

Description

Withlacoochee River Electric Cooperative is one of the largest electric cooperatives in the US with over 281,000 members and over 12,000 miles of energized lines. WREC's service area is located along Florida's Nature Coast in Pasco, Hernando, and Citrus counties and is conveniently situated between Tampa, Orlando, and the gulf beaches. Scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Answer incoming calls in a prompt, courteous and efficient manner ensuring that calls are properly completed.
• Resolve billing questions and/or complaints.
• Process customer payments.
• Data entry relating to customer files, i.e., address changes, service requests, Capital Credits, and all other associated data entry requests.
• May be assigned other duties as needed.

** Selected Applicant will be required to travel to WREC's General Office in Dade City for a 90-Day training**

Requirements

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Applicant is required to have basic telephone, copier, computer knowledge, and skills.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills. Will be required to appropriately handle confidential matters.
• Requires physical ability in sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, pulling, pushing, lifting, carrying, using fingers, holding, grasping, talking, and hearing.
• Ability to acquire knowledge of WREC's organizational structure and operations. Also will need to acquire knowledge of all Cooperative safety rules, policies, and procedures.
