\n \nAbout the Opportunity
\n \nAn established and growing defense industry organization is seeking an experienced Contracts & Compliance Manager to oversee federal contract administration, regulatory compliance, risk management, and export control activities. This position plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with U.S. government contracting requirements while supporting business growth, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.
\n \nThe successful candidate will serve as a key advisor to leadership and collaborate closely with program management, finance, engineering, procurement, security, and external government stakeholders.
\n \nKey Responsibilities
\n \nContracts Management
\n- \n
- Manage the administration of federal government contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and related agreements. \n
- Review solicitations, statements of work, contract modifications, and contractual documentation to identify obligations, risks, and compliance requirements. \n
- Maintain complete and accurate contract files, including correspondence, deliverables, certifications, modifications, and closeout documentation. \n
- Coordinate contract modifications, extensions, and change requests with internal teams and government representatives. \n
- Support proposal efforts by reviewing solicitation terms, contract clauses, representations, certifications, and compliance requirements. \n
- Participate in contract negotiations and develop negotiation strategies and supporting documentation. \n
- Identify contractual risks and provide recommendations to leadership. \n
- Interpret and apply FAR, DFARS, and customer-specific contractual requirements. \n
- Review subcontract agreements and ensure alignment with prime contract obligations. \n
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with Contracting Officers, Contract Specialists, prime contractors, subcontractors, and customers. \n
- Support contract closeout activities and resolution of outstanding obligations. \n
Compliance Management

- Maintain and enhance the organization's compliance management program. \n
- Monitor regulatory changes and support implementation of new compliance requirements. \n
- Administer company ethics, compliance, and Code of Conduct programs. \n
- Support compliance with ITAR, EAR, import/export regulations, and trade controls. \n
- Develop and maintain compliance policies, procedures, obligation matrices, and reporting systems. \n
- Ensure appropriate handling and protection of sensitive company and government information. \n
- Support compliance efforts related to cybersecurity, CUI, intellectual property, data rights, supply chain management, and government regulations. \n
- Coordinate internal and external audits, reviews, assessments, and government inquiries. \n
- Promote a culture of integrity, accountability, and regulatory excellence. \n
Required Qualifications
\n- \n
- 10+ years of Contracts and Compliance experience within the U.S. Defense Industry. \n
- Strong background managing government contracts and regulatory compliance programs. \n
- Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) contracts and supplier networks. \n
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance eligibility. \n
- Professional compliance, contracts, or commercial management certification preferred. \n
- Experience working with domestic and international defense customers and suppliers. \n
