Facility LOC0026 - 101 Columbian Street101 Columbian Street Weymouth, MA 02190 Department Name SSH Medical Oncology Cancer Center Status Full time Budgeted Hours 40 Shift Day (United States of America) The Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) will support the clinical research program and research team in the overall conduct of clinical trials using Good Clinical Practice under the auspices of the Principal Investigator and the Clinical Research Manager. The CRC will be responsible for the primary data collection and management of patient clinical information as it pertains to participation in clinical trials. Ensures timely facilitation of trial assessments per protocol and collection of protocol related samples including shipment to outside entities as required. Will support and maintain participant/subject trial and regulatory information, to ensure study compliance with all state, federal, and IRB requirements. May be responsible for pertinent IRB protocol submissions. This individual may also screen patients for protocol eligibility, obtain informed consent for non-treatment trials, and register study participants with the clinical trials management system. This is an onsite position. To be considered, candidates must reside in MA, RI, CT or NH. Use this to denote if a function does not provide opportunity to perform beyond "Meets Expectations" In collaboration with the Research Nurse, registers patients to protocols. Maintains trial database, including collecting, and entering data. Completes all forms pertaining to protocols, and reporting of questions, discrepancies and violations to protocol investigator and collaborating institutions and companies Organizes monitoring visits Copy, mail and/or fax all protocol patient records to the proper institutions. Assist with data collection for clinical trials as needed and submit to data management offices. Prepare paperwork for all new protocol patients. Conduct phone interviews with possible participants for trials May handle specimens, including collection, appropriate packing and shipping of specimens in accordance with all safety regulations Prepare/schedule patients for entry eligibility visit for potential study participants Collects medical data from paper and electronic sources, both internal and external Keep all consents and related forms/paperwork in a file system for easy reference with adequate copies available. Participates in internal and external audits Assist the Research Nurse with any and all other necessary tasks. This includes phone calls, mailings, filing and miscellaneous data management tasks.
