Role Description This full-time, on-site Legal Assistant role is based at the office in Tonganoxie, KS. The Legal Assistant will support attorneys by preparing and organizing legal documents, managing case files, and maintaining accurate records. Daily tasks include drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments and court dates, coordinating with clients and court personnel, and handling phone calls and emails. The role also involves filing and retrieving documents, assisting with basic legal research, and ensuring deadlines and procedural requirements are met. The Legal Assistant will work closely with the legal team to maintain an efficient office, protect confidential information, and support a professional client experience. Qualifications Strong foundation in law-related work and familiarity with legal assistants’ responsibilities. Proficiency in legal document preparation, including drafting, formatting, and organizing case materials. Effective communication skills for interacting with clients, attorneys, court staff, and colleagues. Administrative assistance skills, including scheduling, file management, data entry, and office organization. Ability to maintain confidentiality, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Comfort with basic computer applications and legal practice management software (training may be provided). Prior experience in a law office or legal setting preferred; relevant education or certificate in legal studies is a plus.
