Education & Licensure:

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or Marriage/Family Therapy
• Associate-level license: LPA, LPCA, CSW, AMFT
• Independent-level license: LPP, LPCC, LCSW, LMFT

Salary Range:

• Associate Level License: $55,000 – $61,875
• Independent Level License: $65,000 – $73,125

Position Overview:
We are seeking an Early Childhood Consultant to support infants and young children (0-5) exposed to substances in utero, including those whose mothers are in recovery from substance use disorder (SUD). This role emphasizes improving early childhood development, promoting healthy attachment, and providing guidance to families and providers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide consultation, education, and collaboration with families and providers serving infants and young children impacted by prenatal substance exposure.
• Support families actively engaged in recovery from SUD, ensuring child well-being and safety.
• Deliver direct behavioral health services (up to 25% of the role) using developmentally appropriate, evidence-informed practices in homes, early care settings, hospitals, or community locations.
• Assist in the development and implementation of Plans of Safe Care for infants and young children.
• Maintain knowledge of early childhood development, social-emotional wellness, trauma-informed care, and attachment strategies.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Expertise in working with substance/trauma-exposed infants and young children.
• Strong understanding of early childhood mental health, social-emotional development, and healthy attachment.
• Ability to consult and collaborate effectively with families, multidisciplinary teams, and early childhood providers.
