This role involves setting up equipment, monitoring production, performing basic troubleshooting, and ensuring that all parts meet precise specifications through accurate measurement and inspection.ResponsibilitiesOperate CNC machines safely and efficiently in a high-volume production environment.Perform machine setup, including loading programs, adjusting tools, and preparing workstations according to job requirements.Monitor CNC operations throughout the production run and perform basic troubleshooting to maintain quality and productivity.Load and unload raw materials and finished parts into and out of CNC machines, handling components safely and efficiently.Change and adjust machine tools as needed to meet production specifications and maintain dimensional accuracy.Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and promptly report any mechanical issues or irregularities.Conduct in-process and final inspections of parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and tape measures.Interpret and work from technical blueprints and work instructions to ensure all parts meet exact specifications and quality standards.Use hand and power tools as needed to support production activities and machine operation.Support the CNC machining center with general production tasks, including material handling, part preparation, and basic machine support.Perform quality checks of machined parts using hand measuring tools and document results as required.Lift, carry, and maneuver awkward items weighing up to 50 pounds while loading and unloading parts into machines.Stand for extended periods while operating equipment and performing production duties.Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.Essential SkillsExperience operating machines in a manufacturing or production environment (any level of experience is considered a plus).Demonstrated ability to operate or support CNC machines in a production setting.Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand how machines and tools function.Proficiency using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers for quality checks.Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and work instructions.Experience using hand and power tools in a production or mechanical environment.Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and reliable job tenure.Ability to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 50 pounds safely.Ability to stand for long periods of time during shifts.Willingness to support both general production tasks and CNC machine operation as needed.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrior experience with CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.Familiarity with inspection processes and precision measuring equipment such as gauges and tape measures.Comfort working with hand and power tools in a production setting.Mechanical experience or interest in mechanical systems and machining.Willingness to work various shifts, including weekdays and weekends, and to be open to different shift assignments.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.Why Work Here?This is an opportunity to join a local, family-owned organization that values its employees and invests in their long-term growth. The operation runs multiple shifts, and candidates must be open to all shift options, including weekday and weekend schedules on both day and overnight shifts. Team members spend most of their time on their feet, working at machines and workstations, and handling materials and parts throughout the shift.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ellabell, GA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.75 - $23.25/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
