We are seeking a Senior Microsoft 365 Administrator to serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert for managing, optimizing, and modernizing the Microsoft 365 environment. The ideal candidate will have deep enterprise-level expertise, proven experience driving large-scale M365 initiatives, and a strong background in collaboration, security, and compliance. This forward-thinking role will directly support modernization projects, tenant optimization, and end-user adoption while ensuring secure and scalable cloud collaboration solutions.

Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Microsoft 365 Administrator to serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert for managing, optimizing, and modernizing the Microsoft 365 environment. The ideal candidate will have deep enterprise-level expertise, proven experience driving large-scale M365 initiatives, and a strong background in collaboration, security, and compliance. This forward-thinking role will directly support modernization projects, tenant optimization, and end-user adoption while ensuring secure and scalable cloud collaboration solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and drive Microsoft 365 upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives .
- Architect, configure, and maintain Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and M365 Admin Center .
- Implement best practices for identity, access management, security, and compliance including Conditional Access, Sensitivity Labels, DLP, and Defender for O365.
- Manage tenant-level configurations , hybrid integrations, and licensing strategies.
- Proactively monitor system health, usage metrics, and compliance dashboards using PowerShell, Graph API, and Microsoft Security & Compliance Center.
- Develop and enforce governance standards, documentation, and disaster recovery procedures .
- Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, Security, and business stakeholders to deliver strategic initiatives.
- Mentor junior team members and act as technical escalation point for complex issues.
- Evaluate emerging Microsoft 365 technologies and recommend adoption strategies.
- Provide end-user training and guidance to drive adoption and maximize business value.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 7+ years of hands-on administration/engineering experience with Microsoft 365 in enterprise environments.
- Proven success in M365 implementations, upgrades, and enterprise-level projects .
- Strong expertise in Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Azure AD .
- Advanced experience with the Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) .
- Strong PowerShell scripting skills and Graph API experience.
- Expertise in security and compliance configurations (Defender for O365, Conditional Access, DLP, Sensitivity Labels).
- Knowledge of hybrid Active Directory and legacy system integrations.
- Microsoft Certifications (MS-100, MS-101, SC-300, or equivalent).
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- SharePoint 2013+ administration and customization.
- Security auditing, tenant hardening, and compliance configuration.
- Experience with Defender for O365 and Microsoft Security & Compliance Center.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, HTML, JavaScript, and SQL Server .
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert (MS-100/102)
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Mobility and Security (MS-101/102)
- Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300)
- Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert (SC-100)
- Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate (SC-200)
