Position Highlights Join an established practice with a seasoned Colorectal Surgeon, Nurse Practitioner and support staff Newly renovated, modern outpatient clinic located near main hospital campus Surgeries performed at both Ascension St. Vincent Evansville and our ambulatory surgery center, Surgicare Opportunity for physician membership in Surgicare Generous Compensation includes: Two year salary guarantee RVU production rates starting year three Signing bonus Relocation Student loan assistance eligible Fellowship stipend available if applicable CME annually + five days Full benefits including 403B plus 6% match PTO plus eight paid holidays Responsibilities Provide medical services to patients in an assigned area. Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. Coordinate discharge planning with case management. Recommend, participate in, and work to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients. Accept patient referrals from other physicians. Act as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital. Participate in academic programs (eg medical education and research) as requested. Provide appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration: Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Verified by local credentialing office. Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Verified by local credentialing office. Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required. Additional Preferences No additional preferences.
