Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Stepdown Cardiac Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1+ years License: Pending License accepted: No Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - At least one year experience with Epic EMR - Strong Cardiac Telemetry experience Description: Candidate must have a minimum of one year of experience with Epic EMR. Candidates need to possess strong Cardiac Telemetry experience. BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required. This position involves managing patients with cardiac diagnoses related to chest pain and arrhythmias. Patients may present with a medical history of cardiac disease and require telemetry monitoring. The unit manages various drips with maximum titration rates, including heparin and nitroglycerin. Patients may undergo procedures such as heart catheterization and cardioversion. Daily census averages around 24 patients with a staffing ratio of 4:1. Applicants must be flexible in floating to other units based on census needs. All assignments require documentation of competencies before performing tasks. Modules required for compliance are up to 16 hours and are billable. Travelers must meet distance requirements related to eligibility. Candidates should be prepared for any required pre-assignment testing and modules.
