Shift: 1st and 2nd shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM | 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM)

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking Press Brake Operators at various experience levels to operate and set up press brake equipment used to form sheet metal and plate components. Candidates will be considered for Operator I, Operator II, or Journeyman based on their experience and skill level.

The position requires attention to detail, quality, safety, and the ability to follow engineering drawings, work instructions, setup sheets, and job travelers in an aerospace and defense manufacturing environment.

GENERAL DUTIES

• Operate press brake equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload materials and finished parts.
• Read and follow drawings, work instructions, setup sheets, and job travelers.
• Verify part numbers, revisions, material, and job requirements.
• Perform press brake setups, tooling changes, and machine adjustments as applicable.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections.
• Use measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, angle gauges, and height gauges.
• Identify and troubleshoot quality, dimensional, tooling, and machine issues.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection documentation and part traceability.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all safety, PPE, AS9100, and ITAR requirements.
• Communicate production and quality issues to supervision, Engineering, Programming, or Quality as needed.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma/GED preferred.
• Manufacturing, fabrication, or metal-forming experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to read measurements and understand dimensional requirements.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to use basic measuring tools.
• Reliable attendance and willingness to learn.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and frequently bend, reach, push, pull, and handle materials.
• Ability to safely work around industrial machinery and wear required PPE.

EXPERIENCE LEVELS

Press Brake Operator I - Entry Level

• Manufacturing or fabrication experience preferred but not required.
• Able to perform basic press brake operations using established setups and programs.
• Able to perform basic measurements and inspections.
• Willingness to learn setups, tooling, and machine operation.

Press Brake Operator II - Experienced

• Able to independently perform standard and moderately complex setups.
• Experience selecting and installing press brake tooling.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and bend sequences.
• Experience operating CNC press brake programs and making basic machine/tooling/program adjustments.
• Able to troubleshoot routine forming and dimensional issues.
• Experience performing first-piece and in-process inspections.

Journeyman Press Brake Operator - Advanced

• Typically 5+ years of press brake or comparable metal-forming experience.
• Demonstrated ability to independently set up and operate complex press brake jobs.
• Advanced knowledge of tooling, bend allowances, bend deduction, springback, and forming methods.
• Experience developing or modifying CNC press brake programs.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T.
• Able to troubleshoot complex forming, dimensional, tooling, and machine issues.
• Able to train and mentor less-experienced operators and assist with process improvements.
