With almost 40 years of experience, our scalable talent solutions and engineering and sciences services provide the expertise our customers need to achieve more.Position SummaryThe Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the department, establishing the budgets and schedules of the projects in their department, and reporting metrics and statuses to the Program Manager and the customer. They will provide leadership and direction to their direct reports and overall teams in terms of technical and non-technical guidance. They will also be responsible for helping to grow the business and execute the current work-flow.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide technical leadership and training in Substation Engineering to the department and provide one-on-one mentorship and training to the LeadsEstablish, monitor, and maintain quality control standards for design services standards and productsMonitor and maintain the budgets and schedules for all projects and workflows utilizing designated systems/proceduresDevelop and/or review the conceptual project scopes and communicate the scope to multiple stakeholders; provide cost estimates for projects.Hold teams accountable to project estimates and schedules/deadlines given to customer; make sure change orders are issued in a timely manner when appropriate and necessaryDirectly manage Leads and individual contributors in departmentWork with internal Leads as well as customer to drive business processes to make sure workflow and workload is efficient and effectiveComplete written technical performance reports and make periodic presentations to management, and/or teams concerning project status, budget, and performanceDetermine customer's needs and work with customer and internal team to make sure processes run smoothlyDistribute workflow from customer to internal Leads to allocate to their teams (all projects filter through Supervisor)Interface, and be the liaison, with the customer on problems and inefficienciesResolve problems that arise on invoicing, resourcing, and staffingWork out resolutions to disagreements between customer and internal team on processes and issuesProactively pursue solutions regarding personnel issues including hiring, firing, promotions, demotions, attendance issues, scheduling and performance reviewsUtilize Microsoft Office and customer-specific software/applications to complete all tasksSupervise work of the project team; responsible for hiring, termination, promotion, demotion, coaching, performance evaluations, and employee relations; drive training and development of team through leadsEducation and Experience RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering10+ years of experience engineering and managing electric substation protection and control systems projects4+ years of experience leading or supervising a technical design or engineering teamProfessional Engineering license, or the ability and willingness to obtain a PE license within an agreed timeframeRequisite Abilities, Skills and ValuesDemonstrated leadership skills managing large or small teams of diverse skill setsDemonstrated understanding and working knowledge of protection engineering tools and software, including ASPEN, MathCAD, GE UR, SEL AcSelerator and 5010Working knowledge of Microstation and Bentley ProjectWiseProficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access)Excellent written and oral communication skillsCustomer focusedDesire to develop self and others: technically, professionally and personallyHigh regard for personal integrity, ethics and valuesWilling to give appropriate trust to managementClearly understands the value of supporting and managing diversity in the workplaceTeam player with ability to work in a highly cross-functional environmentHighly proficient in P&C applicationsJob Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Tulsa, OK.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.07 - $70.10/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
