2027 Emerging Markets Equity Research Summer Internship

Our undergraduate internship provides first-hand experience in investment management offering exposure to equity research. We're seeking students who can blend traditional bottoms-up fundamental research with quantitative methods, with a particular focus on Emerging Markets. Our hands-on, 10-week internship is designed for students who are interested in pursuing a career in equity research. You will work directly with the investment professionals on real investment problems where your contributions have measurable impact from day one. You'll be paired with a dedicated mentor invested in your growth, while gaining direct access to industry veterans and thought leaders who bring decades of market experience to share. Eligibility Criteria

• This program is open to rising undergraduate seniors only. You must be graduating in 2028!
• Ability to start an internship June 7, 2027, and end August 13, 2027
• Ability to be in NYC for the duration of the internship
• Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

We’ll trust you to:

• Work closely with investment management professionals to understand the industry and support ongoing projects
• Perform corporate analysis on current and prospective holdings
• Participate in company meetings/calls and attend industry conferences
• Prepare a final pitch presentation to deliver to Lazard’s senior management team

You'll need to have:

• Consistent academic achievement and previous work experience
• Exceptional analytical and communication skills, and the ability to distill complex concepts clearly and efficiently
• Prior experience in equity research, such as a university’s student-managed investment fund or internship
• Financial modeling skills, including basic income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow modeling
• Experience with quantitative and fundamental research methods
• Exceptional analytical and communication skills, and the ability to distill complex concepts clearly and efficiently
• Curiosity and initiative to develop original ideas
• Familiarity or experience with generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, or similar)

Compensation: Pro-rated base annual salary of $90,000
