Join a dynamic, technology-driven team as a Data Center Smart Hands Technician. You'll play a key part in supporting critical data center operations and have opportunities to build expertise with enterprise hardware and leading-edge infrastructure.

[Responsibilities]

- Conduct routine walkthroughs in data centers, server rooms, IDF, and MDF areas to identify and report equipment, environmental, and security issues.
- Provide onsite Smart Hands support for servers, network devices, racks, cabinets, and related infrastructure.
- Install, remove, rack, label, and organize servers, switches, and network equipment.
- Replace hardware components such as power supplies, drives, memory, fans, and cables.
- Trace, install, label, and test copper and fiber cabling; maintain cable management and organization.
- Perform equipment troubleshooting verify status, power, connections, and ports.
- Execute basic diagnostics, power cycles, and equipment reboots under remote guidance.
- Assist with installations, moves, equipment changes, and asset validation.
- Support equipment decommissioning, packing, and vendor coordination.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all work, inventory, and asset changes.
- Uphold data center security, safety, and access-control procedures at all times.
- Escort authorized vendors and service providers in secure areas as needed.
- Participate in a rotating after-hours/on-call schedule.

[Required Skills and Experience]

- 2 5 years of hands-on experience in Smart Hands, data center, or infrastructure support.
- Background in server room, IDF/MDF, colocation, or enterprise environments.
- Proficiency with server, network, rack, and cabling installation and support.
- Solid knowledge of copper and fiber cabling, patch panels, labeling, and troubleshooting.
- Capability to replace basic hardware components and follow technical instructions.
- Attention to detail, strong documentation, and independent work ethic.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to safely lift and handle IT equipment as per safety guidelines.
- High school diploma or GED required.

[Preferred Skills]

- Experience with Dell, HPE, Lenovo, Cisco, or similar enterprise hardware.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or other ITSM/ticketing platforms.
- Understanding of incident, request, change, asset, and inventory management.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certification (a plus).
- Associate degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (a plus).
