A Dispatcher plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient scheduling and routing of resources while coordinating communication between drivers, customers, and management. Reporting primarily to the Customer Service Manager and Logistics Coordinator, the dispatcher manages a typical daily volume of 20-50 dispatches, handles record keeping, and occasionally responds to emergency situations to maintain smooth operations and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and route resources to optimize efficiency and meet customer requirements
• Maintain clear communication and coordination between drivers, customers, and management
• Monitor dispatch operations to ensure timely deliveries and respond to any issues
• Keep accurate records of all dispatch activities and customer interactions
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve problems promptly
• Enter and manage data related to dispatches and logistics
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations as they arise

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years experience in dispatching
• High school diploma or equivalent
