Associate Athletic Trainer / Instructor

Department of Athletics / Department of Kinesiology St. Edward's University is seeking an Associate Athletic Trainer / Instructor to join our Athletics Department and Kinesiology faculty. Working alongside the Head Athletic Trainer, you will coordinate comprehensive medical care for student-athletes-from injury prevention to rehabilitation-while teaching one course per term (3 contact hours) in the Department of Kinesiology. Qualifications Required Master's degree in Athletic Training, Kinesiology, or a related field. BOC Certified, Texas State Licensure (or eligibility), and CPR/AED/First Aid certified. 3-5 years of athletic training experience. Knowledge of NCAA Division II rules/best practices, EMR software proficiency, and excellent communication. Ability to work a flexible schedule (mornings, evenings, weekends, and team travel). Preferred 2+ years of collegiate athletic training experience. Previous teaching or instructional experience. Experience supervising athletic training students or interns. Essential Responsibilities Include Supervise prevention, evaluation, treatment, short/long-term rehabilitation, and return-to-play decisions for assigned teams. Manage daily athletic training facility operations, coordinate pre-participation physicals, schedule physician referrals, and oversee NCAA drug testing compliance. Instruct 3 contact hours per term (fall and spring) in the Kinesiology Department. Supervise assistant athletic trainers and student interns, maintain confidential EMR records, and support departmental administration.
