Location Primary campus: Kennesaw, 1000 Chastain Road NW, 30144. Secondary campus: Marietta, 1100 South Marietta Parkway, 30060. Job Summary Designs, develops, and delivers professional learning for faculty in the effective integration of technology in the assigned college. Collaborates with faculty, students, and external partners in the integration of instructional technologies and innovative teaching and learning practices. Serves as a technology coach (one‑on‑one and in groups) for faculty in designing and delivering technology‑enhanced, face‑to‑face, and blended instruction. Models and facilitates the effective use of research‑based, learner‑centered strategies and innovative pedagogies when planning technology‑enhanced learning with faculty. Serves as the Innovation Lab Manager and is responsible for all aspects of designing, developing, and implementing the curriculum offered in the Innovation Lab. Key Responsibilities Designs, develops, and delivers professional learning for faculty in the effective integration of technology. Collaborates with faculty and students in the integration of instructional technologies and innovative teaching and learning practices. Serves as a technology coach (one‑on‑one and in groups) for faculty in designing and delivering technology‑enhanced, face‑to‑face, and blended instruction. Models and facilitates the effective use of research‑based, learner‑centered strategies and innovative pedagogies when planning technology‑enhanced learning with faculty. Offers support and guidance to faculty creating and updating face‑to‑face and blended learning. Collaborates with faculty to develop curriculum materials and plan technology‑enhanced lessons. Develops Technology Innovation Activities (TIAs) for use throughout undergraduate and graduate programs both online and face‑to‑face to support the integration of technology and innovation throughout the college. Works collaboratively with the Instructional Designer in supporting faculty with blended and online learning. Designs the setup of the Innovation Lab to meet the needs of a wide range of groups visiting the Innovation Lab. Encourages and promotes innovation by offering a variety of learning opportunities in the Innovation Lab (e.g., maker activities, design thinking, personalized learning, video production, robotics, coding). Continuously develops new learning experiences offered in the Innovation Lab. Evaluates and selects hardware, software, robotics, and other devices, materials, and supplies purchased to equip the Innovation Lab. Manages the Maker Closet that houses all the supplies for the Innovation Lab. Manages, mentors, and trains student assistants who assist in setting up the lab for each session. Collaborates with Bagwell partners to offer customized sessions and tours of the Innovation Lab. Teaches partners how to design Innovation Labs in their schools or organizations. Researches emerging technologies and how they can be integrated into the curriculum offered in the Innovation Lab. Advocates for the needed resources in the Innovation Lab and its growth and expansion. Engages in continuous professional learning by staying abreast of current and emerging technologies and innovative pedagogies. Serves on technology‑related committees as needed. Provides support for visiting students, faculty, and special events offered as needed. Works with vendors to secure complementary hardware and software for faculty and students. Seeks approval for donations by developing MOUs and getting approval through the UITS and legal departments at KSU. Required Qualifications Master’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education in Instructional Technology or a closely‑related field. Five (5) years of experience related to the position. Preferred Qualifications Special technology‑related certifications. Familiarity with maker‑based education and design thinking. Advanced degree in a related field. Experience developing and facilitating online learning. Experience presenting at local, state, or national conferences. Proposed Salary The budgeted salary range is $65,400 to $80,000 per year. Offers are based on relevant experience. Ability to evaluate and implement current and emerging technologies and stay abreast of the latest trends in education and instructional technology. Ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders. Ability to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time, meeting assigned deadlines. Skills Proficient with a wide range of instructional technologies and resources appropriate for K‑12 education. Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem‑solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management, and presentation skills. Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (e.g., Microsoft Office suite). Strong attention to detail and follow‑up skills.
