Sous Chef Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen
- Proven ability to lead, work, and direct the line during service
- Excellent knife skills, with butchery experience considered a plus
- Strong knowledge of kitchen systems and inventory management
- Ability to assist the Executive Chef with daily kitchen operations
- Experience mentoring and developing line cooks
- Commitment to maintaining quality and company standards
- Current ServSafe Manager certification
Sous Chef Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations
- Lead and direct kitchen staff during service to ensure smooth execution
- Mentor and develop line cooks to build a strong team
- Maintain quality control and uphold company standards
- Manage inventory and kitchen systems to optimize efficiency
- Support the culinary team in delivering exceptional food consistently
