IT Systems AdministratorWhile upholding the Star Valley Health mission, vision and values this key position under general direction, supports, maintains, and evaluates computer networking and telecommunication systems. Installs, configures, and maintains both physical and virtual computer servers. Provides End User Help Desk support. This is an at will position.Essential Job Duties:Oversees the day-to-day operation of computer systems including hardware/software support, training, and special projectsManages, configures and maintains all enterprise serversResearches and recommends server technologies and hardware/softwareAssist in installing, designing, configuring, and maintaining system hardware/softwareAnalyzes and troubleshoots the system logs and tracks the nature and resolution of problemsMonitors usage to ensure security of data and access privilegesInstalls, supports and maintain both physical and virtual servers and appliancesEstablishes and maintains user accounts, profiles, file sharing, access privileges and securityResearches, analyzes, monitors, troubleshoots and resolves server problemsMaintains systems support, and archiving procedures, performs daily server tape backupsKeep current regarding new hardware/software products for system enhancementsAssists and provides support to IT Director, other IT staff as requested including performing scheduled network tasks, updating anti-virus definition files, monitoring network servers, and providing internet and intranet user support, and specialized trainingEmail/Internet/System support establishes and maintains user email accountsProvides email training, and software supportProvides email documentation and updates to user manual as neededManages anti-spam and anti-virus serversIn conjunction and cooperation with the other IT staff will arrange for after hour call coverage to meet the needs of SV HealthPossession of a valid driver's license with the ability and willingness to travel on work assignments, willingness to work additional hours during the week and/or weekendNon-essential Job Duties:Other duties as needs ariseRequirements:Skills:Working knowledge of local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN), Internet, email systems, telecommunications and data communicationsStandard operating systems, software packages, and software utilitiesProper records maintenance and storage for local and distributed environmentsStrong multi-tasking skills with the ease of changing directions upon requires and needExperience & Education:Any combination of education and training equivalent to possession of a bachelor's degree in computer science, information engineering or other related areasExperience in all areas of local and wide area networks management and administration including systems configuration, setup, troubleshooting, planning, designing, implementation, and user supportExperience installing and supporting Microsoft server technologiesExperience supporting telecommunications equipmentNon-essential:Possession of a Systems Administration Certificate is preferredAbilities:Plan, design, and maintain serversAdminister day-to-day operation of servers, provide technical support to usersCommunicate effectively in both oral and written formExplain technical concepts in non-technical terms to clients and staffKeep current by reading, interpreting, and applying information on technological changes and updates. Interpret and apply technical instructionsPrioritize requests, organize, schedule, and coordinate a variety of activities and projectsAbility to learn new software/hardware packagesWork independently and as a team memberComply with HIPAA and other federal, state and local regulations as well as maintain the highest degree of confidentiality in patient and staff mattersConstant sitting, walking, standing, pushing, pulling, bending and reaching throughout the day.
