Sprinkler Construction Fitter (Travel to TX with Per Diem) Join to apply for the Sprinkler Construction Fitter (Travel to TX with Per Diem) role at Allied Fire Protection . Per Diem: $35 daily Schedule: 6/10's 2-3 weeks at a time before returning to FL. Housing: Provided in Texas with transportation, gas cards, and toll tags. Responsibilities Represent Allied Fire Protection in a professional manner. Work with other team members to ensure a good customer experience. Monitor emails and text messages and return communications in a timely manner. Read plans and interpret information needed to complete the project, including installation of fire sprinkler systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Notify supervisor/manager immediately of any conflicts in job scope. Become familiar with job sites and scope for assigned projects. Do not complete work or services outside of the defined scope without permission of the manager. Operate hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring equipment to complete the project. Supervise/train apprentices or helpers. Complete all training requirements – safety, certifications, etc. Use or learn to use Microsoft Excel and Outlook; have basic computer familiarity. Ensure timely and complete submittal of JSAs, toolbox talks, audit forms, etc. Ensure timely and accurate incident and accident reporting. Maintain proper inventory management and review, update, and approve packing slips. Maintain proper equipment care – trucks, lifts, tools, etc. Keep job sites clean and organized. Ensure production efficiency by monitoring budget vs. actual labor hours and communicating proactively with the superintendent. Support and ensure adherence to company SOPs – purchase orders, change orders, etc. Meet timeliness requirements—arrive on time, attend, communicate with supervisor, and complete paperwork. Respond to customer satisfaction survey feedback and identify improvement opportunities. Maintain quality control to reduce return trips and warranty work. Maintain a professional appearance and communicate effectively and professionally within the department and with internal and external customers. Ensure all required documents are complete, accurate, and professional, with required signatures. Knowledge High School diploma or GED preferred but not required, or related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Work Experience Minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience. Fire sprinkler installation experience. Experience cutting steel pipe for new construction or remodel projects. Skills and Competencies Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills. Valid state driver's license and good driving record. Effective communication with peers, supervisors, and customers. Familiarity with NFPA occupancies and spacing requirements. Maintain proper documentation on provided electronic device for work performed. Maintain company vehicles and equipment per AFP Vehicle Policy. Good math, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Basic to moderate computer skills desired. Ability to follow written and verbal directions, perform a changing variety of duties, and repeat tasks of short duration according to set procedures.
