Water & Wastewater Plant Operator I

Overview The City of Rawlins is seeking applications for the position of Water & Wastewater Plant Operator 1. Under the direction of the Water and Wastewater Treatment Superintendent, or head operator, this role performs entry level technical work in the operation, servicing and general maintenance of equipment in a water treatment plant; assists in back-up operation of the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Responsibilities Perform entry level technical work in the operation, servicing and general maintenance of equipment in a water treatment plant. Assist in back-up operation of the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Some experience with mechanical equipment preferred. Ability to acquire Level 1 Certification in water treatment operation within one year, and Level 1 wastewater operator within two years. Possession of a valid driver's license.
