Instructional Assistant - Special Education

Instructional Assistant

The Instructional Assistant provides support to the classroom teacher and is under his/her immediate direction; this may include supporting in a general education or self-contained special education classroom setting or as a 1:1 in either academic setting. This vacancy is intended as a roving position.

• High School Diploma or GED • AA Degree, or 48 College Semester Units, or Passing (70%) of County-wide Instructional Assistant Examination Minimum Proficiency Test. • Experience working with school age children • Fingerprint and tuberculosis clearances as required by law

Placement on the CSEA Salary Schedule Range, 16, 18, or 20 Based upon the number of college semester units. I.A. I – Range 16. Completion of – semester units. $20.91- $25.41 I.A. II – Range 18. Completion of 40 semester units. $21.98- $26.72 I.A. III – Range 20. Completion of 60 semester units. $23.10 - $28.06
