Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Summary:
Provide specialized critical care nursing to critically ill patients in a 16-bed ICU unit, managing complex cases such as neurological, respiratory, and cardiac post-arrest patients. Ensure high-quality patient outcomes through expert assessment and interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Administer advanced nursing care for ICU patients, including ventilator management, IV therapy, and symptom monitoring.
• Interpret EKG strips, read and act on diagnostic strips, and respond promptly to changes in patient status.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Ensure accurate documentation in Epic electronic health records and adhere to patient safety protocols.
• Float to other units as assigned, supporting the team during high census or specialized care needs.
• Maintain compliance with licensing, orientation, and certification requirements.

Qualifications:

• Possess an associate's degree in nursing or BSN from an accredited program.
• Hold a valid Ohio Registered Nurse license or eligible compact license.
• Demonstrate at least 2 years of ICU nursing experience, including neuro and respiratory patients.
• Be certified in BLS and ACLS through AHA.
• Successfully pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before assignment.
• Have experience with Epic charting and complex clinical cases such as CRRT and hypothermia post-arrest.
