Position Summary

RR Contracting LLC is seeking a Project Manager who combines practical construction knowledge with disciplined project coordination and leadership.

This position helps turn an approved scope and project handoff into a safe, organized, profitable, and professionally delivered project. The Project Manager coordinates people, information, materials, schedules, decisions, and project documentation from startup through closeout and follow-up.

The right candidate will be comfortable working between the office and the field, communicating with clients and construction teams, identifying risks before they become emergencies, and maintaining strong control of schedule, cost, quality, safety, and project information.

What You’ll Do

As a Project Manager, you will help coordinate the people, information, resources, and decisions required to keep projects moving successfully.

• Review project scope, budget, schedule, responsibilities, procurement needs, selections, safety requirements, communication needs, and known risks before and during project startup.
• Build and maintain realistic project schedules and actionable near-term lookaheads.
• Anticipate schedule dependencies, material lead times, approvals, access requirements, inspections, and other conditions that could affect field production.
• Coordinate Crew/Team Leads, field personnel, subcontractors, vendors, materials, permits, inspections, client decisions, and trade handoffs.
• Keep clients, field teams, subcontractors, vendors, office staff, and leadership informed of project status, priorities, risks, decisions, and upcoming needs.
• Monitor project budgets, committed and actual costs, forecasted cost to complete, labor and material exposure, purchase orders, subcontract costs, allowances, change orders, overruns, rework, and overall project profitability.
• Identify cost and schedule risks early and communicate facts, options, and recommended corrective actions to leadership.
• Recognize and document scope changes and coordinate their impact on budget, schedule, procurement, project records, and expectations.
• Maintain accurate project schedules, logs, photos, change records, procurement status, client decisions, meeting notes, risks, and follow-up items in approved company systems.
• Use Buildertrend and other approved systems as shared project-management records rather than relying only on personal texts, memory, or verbal communication.
• Verify workmanship, address quality concerns before concealment or handoff, support rework prevention, and help maintain clean and orderly jobsites.
• Communicate safety expectations, identify hazards, address unsafe conditions, and support safe work throughout the project.
• Manage punch-list, turnover, closeout documentation, and warranty follow-up in an organized and timely manner.
• Address project problems directly, develop practical options, make decisions within assigned authority, and escalate issues with a recommendation when necessary.
• Follow commitments through to verified completion and keep the Operations Manager informed before issues become surprises.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated construction experience coordinating people, schedules, materials, scope, and project information in an active field environment.
• Experience leading a construction project, project phase, crew, trade group, or similar operation with accountability for results.
• Ability to use plans, drawings, specifications, estimates, and scopes to help resolve field, schedule, procurement, and quality issues.
• Ability to communicate professionally with clients, field employees, subcontractors, vendors, office staff, and company leadership.
• Working understanding of construction scheduling, procurement, change management, quality, safety, and project documentation.
• Working financial awareness, including the ability to recognize cost exposure, changes, overruns, rework, and project profitability concerns.
• Digital fluency with computers, mobile applications, email, spreadsheets, photos, and shared project records.
• Willingness to consistently use Buildertrend and other approved company systems.
• Valid driver’s license.
• OSHA 10 certification or higher at hire, or the ability to obtain OSHA 10 within 30 days.
• Ability and willingness to travel to project locations as required.

Preferred Qualifications

The following experience would strengthen a candidate but is not required in every case:

• 5+ years of construction experience , including 2+ years in Project Management, supervision, or field leadership .
• Residential and commercial construction experience.
• General contracting or comparable multi-trade construction coordination experience.
• Experience managing or coordinating several active construction projects.
• Previous Buildertrend experience.
• Direct exposure to project budgets, forecasting, procurement, change orders, client meetings, punch lists, and project closeout.
• Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related education combined with practical construction judgment.
• OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, or other relevant construction safety or Project Management training.

Transferable leadership experience matters. Strong Superintendents, field leaders, or construction supervisors with equivalent planning, leadership, financial awareness, and client-management experience may also be considered.

Depending on assigned responsibilities, Buildertrend may be used for schedules, Daily Logs, To-Dos, documents, photos, client updates, change orders, purchase orders, selections, financial tracking, and reporting.

What Success Looks Like

First 30 Days

• Learn RR Contracting’s purpose, values, safety expectations, Buildertrend environment, project workflow, reporting practices, active projects, and authority boundaries.
• Establish productive working relationships with field and office teams.
• Demonstrate dependable documentation, communication, and follow-through.

First 60 Days

• Begin owning selected projects or project phases with appropriate oversight.
• Maintain current schedules, logs, photos, procurement information, project risks, client follow-up, and routine coordination.
• Demonstrate proactive planning and reliable communication.

First 90 Days

• Lead assigned work with consistent organization and appropriate early escalation.
• Demonstrate sound construction and project-management judgment.
• Maintain current and usable project records.
• Build trust between the field and office through accurate information, dependable follow-through, and respectful accountability.

Long-term success in this role means projects are planned ahead rather than managed through repeated emergencies; risks are communicated early; project information remains current; changes are controlled; clients receive realistic information; quality and safety standards are protected; and commitments are followed through to completion.

Because construction conditions and project needs vary, the Project Manager must be comfortable moving between office planning, jobsite coordination, client communication, and field problem-solving as required.
