Actuary - E&S/S Reserving - REMOTE

Technical Modelling LeaderSenior remote P&C actuarial role on Nationwide's E&S/S Specialty Reserving team, available across the lower 48 U.S. states. You'll lead complex reserving analysis, predictive modeling, peer review, and strategic recommendations while partnering with finance, underwriting, pricing, product, executives, regulators, and auditors.RequirementsMust have:FCAS or equivalent actuarial designationSeven or more years of actuarial experienceStrongly preferred:Expert knowledge of actuarial methodologies, statistical analysis, and modelsExperience in P&C reserving, E&S, or specialty commercial insuranceAbility to source, manipulate, and interpret data within established requirementsStrong communication skills to explain complex analysis to varied audiencesExperience preparing and presenting actuarial findings to senior leadersUndergraduate degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, data science or related fieldNice to have:Experience using predictive modeling or data miningExperience developing cross-functional work plansExperience advising on product development or profitabilityExperience representing organization with regulators or auditorsExperience mentoring or teaching others software/toolsTools: Excel Power_BI Tableau PowerPoint Domain: E&S/S specialty reserving Property and casualty actuarial experience Predictive modeling and data mining Cross-functional work plan development Advising on product development and profitability
