Benefits Three major medical health insurance plans to choose from with dental and vision coverage at no additional cost Free short-term disability, life insurance, and access to our employee assistance program Paid time off (PTO) with immediate access to 5 PTO days before your 90 days 403(b) retirement plan with up to a 6% matching Educational assistance and professional development opportunities Flexible spending account (FSA) and access to AFLAC and Prudential Life insurance products Fast‑growing nonprofit with many advancement opportunities Schedule/Availability Full‑Time – Weekdays and weekends: 10:30 am to 8:30 pm (Gatehouse and Assisted Living) Part‑Time – Weekdays and weekends: 10:30 am to 7 pm PRN – Weekdays and weekends: 7 am to 3 pm or 10:30 am to 8:30 pm Responsibilities Prepare food items, equipment, supplies and garnishes needed for effective operations Maintain the highest degree of sanitation, cleanliness and food safety in the work area Follow menus provided, making changes only with consent of culinary leadership Plan cooking schedule so finished product reaches the consumer at peak quality Work directly with residents, team members, and guests to ensure expectations are met or exceeded Fulfill catering orders for events on campus Perform any other duties assigned by an authorized supervisor as needed Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in food service operations Knowledge of proper cooking methods, temperatures, and yields for meats and other foods Ability to time the cooking of vegetables to preserve nutrition, flavor and appearance Ability to accurately estimate food quantities and yields from bulk foods Knowledge of and appreciation for principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment Experience preparing and serving meals in an appealing and appetizing manner Compensation $17.00 to $19.00 per hour #J-18808-Ljbffr Givens Communities
