About This Role The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department provides direct care to a variety of complex patients, focusing on achieving desired outcomes through effective coordination and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Highlights Location: Edison, NJ Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health Department/Unit: Emergency Department Schedule: Full-time, Night shift What You'll Do Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Perform age and disease specific assessments independently. Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status. Identify patient/family education needs based on age and disease. Develop a plan of care with strategies and interventions. Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care. Provide ongoing communication with patient/family and healthcare team. Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology. Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes. Identify ethical issues in the practice setting. Requirements Education: Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire Experience: Six months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Nurse Residency Program Licenses & Certifications: Current and valid Registered Nurse license in NJ BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire #J-18808-Ljbffr IntelliResume
