PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The Part-Time Specialist IV, Health Occupations supports other staff by performing task-oriented duties while providing clerical, analytical, administrative, and operational support under general supervision. Provides a high level of coordination, support, and documentation of Health Occupations information across multiple departments/colleges.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Coordinates general operations of the Office of Agreements and Program Admissions including Health Occupations. Processes OnBase documents for Health Occupations and automated online applications for various health occupation programs, including verifying information, creating files, and creating spreadsheets with confidential student information. Serves as the resource person for program directors, faculty and students concerning health occupation applications. Develops and maintains accurate databases of area activities for strategic planning and reporting. Organizes and coordinates meetings for the department in the area of Health Occupations. Coordinates the renewal of health occupation affiliation agreements. Coordinates travel plans and schedules meetings and special events for leadership. Maintains inventory of supplies; prepares and processes requisitions. Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. There may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS:

Equipment used includes a PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment. Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position. Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED and at least 5 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
