Executive Director

Executive Director Reporting to the Board of Directors San Luis Obispo, Salinas, and Monterey, CA Access Support Network (ASN) is a community‑based nonprofit organization in the Central Coast of California that provides supportive services to residents living with HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C, and their loved ones. The agency strives to improve its clients’ quality of life and independence by providing individualized support and meeting the unmet needs of community members. The Executive Director partners with the Board to execute the mission, set annual goals and budgets, provide programmatic oversight, and lead fundraising efforts. The incumbent oversees the policies adopted by the Board in compliance with regulatory and granting bodies, inspires and guides the team, and advances both the mission and organizational sustainability. This role promotes innovation, best practices, and accessible health care leadership. Experience in behavioral health, primary health care, HIV/AIDS education, prevention, advocacy, or related executive experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will understand the Central Coast of California and provide thought leadership to capitalize on changes for financial success and community health needs. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in public health, business, planning, or a related field is preferred. Minimum five years in leadership positions within nonprofit or health organizations is required. Proven leadership, effective written and oral communication, strategic planning, relationship building, and financial acumen are essential skills.
