Registered Dietitian (RD)- Contract Consultant

Overview DiningRD is actively seeking a Registered Dietitian for three Assisted Living Communities. The consultant will be responsible for quarterly onsite visits (5.5 hours per visit at each facility) to complete food safety and sanitation audits, meal/dining observation audits, and provide nutrition referrals for high‑risk residents. You work closely with the clinical team to monitor residents’ nutritional needs. Your duties may include: Providing nutrition education and supporting the MDS process. Formulating nutrition assessments with input from dining managers. Providing guidance on dining services, meal rounds and sanitation best practices. Ensuring regulatory compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. Training and mentoring dining managers and staff, and assisting with policy development. Monitoring implementation of effective nutritional care systems. Qualifications Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) credentials (required) State license, if required (required) 2 years of consulting experience preferred, but not required. Experience in Long‑Term Care preferred but not required. Strong prioritization, interpersonal, and communication skills. Professional representation of the company and ability to coach and mentor others. Work Schedule Monday–Friday schedule with some flexibility.
