Job Summary

$20,000 Sign on bonus for eligible applicants! This posting reflects an opening for an X-ray Tech I and we are seeking candidates for that position. Geisinger reserves the right to consider applicants for higher levels of this role to include X-ray Tech II based on their skills, qualifications, and experience. We encourage all qualified individuals to apply. Responsible for performing a variety of standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, equipment operation, and for maintaining related records.

Job Duties

• Performs standardized radiological radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations utilizing proper patient position, identification and exposure techniques.
\n
• Knowledgeable in operation of all equipment within modality.
\n
• Sets up and adjusts immobilization and radiation protective equipment and devices.
\n
• Reviews and analyzes patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology in performing examinations.
\n
• Assists physician with various procedures.
\n
• Reports equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments or repairs.
\n
• Maintains related records and notations.
\n
• Assists in Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures as required.

• Participates in the educational training of students.
\n

Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Radiologic Technology (Required)
