Shift Leader

Job Title: Shift Leader Company: Potbelly Corporate Status: Part Time Pay Range: $19.25 - $19.75/hr Shift: First (Day), Second (Afternoon), Third (Night) Location: 444 Cedar St., Saint Paul, US, MN, 55101 Pay Transparency Earn between $19.25 and $19.75 per hour plus digital tips! Note: Potbelly cannot guarantee tip earnings. Responsibilities Lead team members on shifts, including efficient assignment of tasks while providing feedback. Ensure all security procedures are followed. Ensure back‑of‑house procedural standards are met. Count drawers and follow proper daily cash handling procedures. Prepare quality finished products (sandwiches, salads, soups, cookies, ice cream, etc.) efficiently. Comply with health and safety standards for food, cleanliness and safety. Restock food line, chips and cooler. Clean tables, counters, floors, bathrooms, kitchen and utensils; take out trash. Operate cash register: handle, balance and follow all cash handling procedures. Effectively handle customer complaints/issues. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Friendly and customer‑service oriented. Great communication skills, both written and verbal. Problem‑solving abilities. Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with background music, customer, and employee traffic. Experience with allergens such as peanut, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood, and shellfish. Ability to handle kitchen heat; knife skills are a plus. Minimum age 18 years old. At least one year of supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail environment preferred. Able to stand/walk for 8‑9 hours or as needed. Able to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Illinois applicants required to become food‑safety certified within 30 days of employment.
