Security Site Supervisor

Job Description Seeking candidates with the following: 3-5 years security supervision experience Strong knowledge of security operations, preferably in a manufacturing setting Ability to perform basic security patrols and respond to security assistance calls while maintaining calm Assistance with emergency management and escorting emergency teams within the facility Proficiency with technology and writing incident reports Work as a facility security officer at night when management is not on site; 50 hours weekly with 10 hours paid overtime weekly Essential Functions Supervises Security Officers, Lead Officers, and other personnel assigned to client posts; ensures post orders are followed, rounds are completed, and reports are filed; notifies proper authorities in emergencies. Coaches and disciplines personnel; holds meetings with employees to document coaching and disciplinary actions. Trains Security Officers and other company personnel; reviews post orders and assignment details. Assists with payroll and personnel information submission. Ensures adequate coverage of all posts and positions with company management. Prepares, files, and submits required reports. Inspects posts as scheduled and meets with subordinates to outline tasks. Communicates with client representatives to ensure security requirements are met and provide customer service. Carries out supervisory duties including interviewing, orientation, training, work planning, performance appraisal, rewarding, disciplining, complaint resolution, and hiring/termination recommendations. May perform Security Officer duties per post orders and company policy. Education & Experience High School Diploma or G.E.D. and 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform essential functions. Minimum 2 years of retail experience preferred. Competencies May be required to hold and maintain state, county, and municipal licenses for Security Officers. Knowledge of security operations with focus on patrol, inspection, and response services. Knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures. Ability to provide positive direction and motivate performance. Understanding of various security and safety devices and controls. Ability to learn quickly and follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions. Ability to track and maintain schedule assignments. Team member effectiveness. Maintains professional composure in unusual circumstances. Courteous telephone manner. Adaptability to various sites and post procedure changes. Proficient in writing routine correspondence, logs, and reports. Strong organizational skills. Strong customer service and results orientation. Strong interpersonal skills, effective interaction with clients across diverse cultures. Working Conditions Maintain composure when dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff, and the public under urgency and pressure. May encounter stressful situations involving unauthorized area access. Must meet background checks, reference checks, substance testing, and behavioral survey requirements; meet licensing requirements if applicable. Direct and discipline staff positively. May be required to work overtime without advance notice. Handle multiple tasks concurrently. Keyboarding, basic computer usage, and operating controls. Effective communication; observe and report incidents. Engage in frequent sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and uneven terrain; occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling. Frequent lifting of up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. Use vehicle for duty performance. May be exposed to inclement weather, protective gear, or personal safety measures. Handle sensitive and confidential information.
