Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Spring Leaf Rehabilitation Center, you will:

• Evaluate patient needs through comprehensive assessments of muscle, nerve, joint, and functional abilities, using diagnostic tools and protocols.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that address the specific rehabilitation goals of each patient, while ensuring compliance with physician prescriptions.
• Direct the implementation of therapeutic protocols, overseeing physical therapy assistants to ensure quality of care throughout treatment processes.
• Conduct home environment assessments to recommend necessary modifications and adaptations that enhance patient independence and safety.
• Administer hands-on therapy techniques, including manual exercises, traction, and massage, while also instructing clients on their exercise routines.
• Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, collaborating with physicians to make necessary modifications.
• Document all patient interactions, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, adhering to clinical and regulatory standards.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate overall treatment strategies and discuss patient progress.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families on therapy regimens and proper use of assistive devices.
• Stay current with state regulations and best practices in physical therapy, ensuring quality and compliance in all clinical interactions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with orthopedic patients, including individuals recovering from surgery, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Qualifications

• Current PT licensure in the state of New Jersey, in good standing.
• Current CPR certification.
• A valid driver's license and automobile insurance, as travel to patient homes may be required.

Preferred Experience

While prior experience can enhance your candidacy, we require a minimum of one year of work as a physical therapist, especially in acute care or home care settings.
