Maintenance Mechanic

Maintenance Mechanic Reports To: Maintenance Manager Coordinates with: All departments as needed Position Type: Full time Monday through Friday – 8 hour shifts Schedule: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm and 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm Non-Exempt Business Department: Maintenance Room Job Characteristics Repair and Maintenance on Injection Molding Machines, Trowel Machines, Baggers, Robots and Grinders and other company equipment. Inspect, repair or replace components of machines such as screws, barrels, pistons, etc. Setting up, trouble shooting, debugging and modifying basic control programs Cleaning Equipment and robots. Remove plastic residue, and identifying, repairing or replacing broken parts Install new machines, which includes leveling, installing the tower water and compressed air. Create Assembly belts when needed Modifications with equipment to make sure it is safe for all to use Utilize preventative maintenance program to maintain and prevent failure of equipment Assisting with general facility Maintenance Machining of locks and knock out rods (limited sizes due to machine size) Disinfect working area daily Research Vendors, for parts needed checking availability processing orders to purchasing dept. Assure all health and safety requirements are observed and maintain work area in a neat and organized condition. Other duties and responsibilities may be required and may change at any time with or without notice Required Skills Strong technical, engineering and manufacturing background Ability to read Blueprints and technical manuals Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and Adobe Statistical and data analysis techniques Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization Close attention to detail in a fastpaced environment Written and verbal English communication skills Able to work with a team to accomplish company goals Willingness to keep and maintain a clean and safe work environment Ability to safely operate Forklifts Ability to safely operate Scissor Lift Adherence to attendance policy Adherence to cell phone policy Required Education/Experience High school diploma or equivalent Preferred Skills Three year’s experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a molding facility Power Industrial Truck License (1D) for forklift use a plus Valid driver’s license a plus Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
